Joyful Hearts Trip to Air Museum

Robins AFB, GA

"The Joyful Hearts" of the Antioch UMC journeyed to the Air Museum at Robbins AFB, GA on Thursday, July 27, 2006.  They gathered at the church and began their journey at 9:30 AM, heading north on I-75.  It didn't take them long before deciding that it was time for lunch so a stop was made in Perry, GA where everyone had several choices of where to go for lunch.  Some headed to Sonny's Bar-B-Que while others went to Wendy's.

After lunch, the journey was resumed and the destination was reached around 1:00 PM.  The museum was quite large and very interesting depicting time periods and displays from before WW II to present day space age.  Before we realized it, it was time to start for home.  It was a weary crew who decided to stop at Cracker Barrel in Tifton, GA for nourishment before we arrived back at the church around 6:30 PM.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the trip.
